Are the Park’s facilities open all year round? [+ show][- hide]
Yes – All facilities are available all the year round. Reception is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. The swimming pool is open to holiday guests from 8am till 9pm weekdays and 8am till 8pm weekends. Children under the age of 16 must be out of the pool by 6pm. Can you drive up to your accommodation? [+ show][- hide]
On arrival you can drive up to your accommodation to enable you to unpack easily – we then ask that you move your car to the most convenient of our 4 car parks. This is due to the narrow width of the main site road and numerous parked cars could hinder emergency services should they ever need to be called.
What are the opening times at Quayside Bar & Restaurant? [+ show][- hide]
Openings times – Mon to Sat 11am till 11pm food served 12pm till 2pm and 6pm till 9pm with orders being taken from 5:30pm.
Sundays opening times – 11 till 10:30pm food served 12 till 3pm and 6pm till 9pm again with orders being taken from 5:30.
How far is it to local attractions? [+ show][- hide]
There are numerous local attractions in the area some of which are listed below.
Do all the accommodation types have showers? [+ show][- hide]
All the accommodation types have showers. The caravans have walk in showers only (no baths). All the bungalows except the Broadslodge have a shower over the bath as does the Rowan lodge. The Broadslodge bungalow and Willow Lodge have a bathroom with shower over the bath and a shower room with walk in shower.
Is linen provided? What else do we need to bring? [+ show][- hide]
All bed linen is provided, with the exception of linen for cots. Beds are made up for your arrival. You will need to bring your own towels.
How is the electricity paid for? [+ show][- hide]
The electricity in the Scandinavian Lodges and the caravans is included in the cost of the holiday. In the brick built bungalows the cost of storage heaters and one tank of hot water per day is included in the holiday cost. All other electricity is paid for by cards which are available in £1 and £5 which can be purchased at the Reception, the Leisure Club or at the Quayside Bar & Restaurant.
What is mobile phone coverage like at the Site? [+ show][- hide]
At Broadland Holiday Village we have been battling away with the mobile phone companies to improve coverage for many years. As things stand coverage is very poor across the park. There is a public payphone box on site. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the Quayside Café Bar and Restaurant.
What additional charges are made for using facilities? [+ show][- hide]
Use of the swimming pool, sauna and fitness room is included in the cost of your holiday. There is a charge for use of the launderette.
How many pets are allowed in the accommodation? [+ show][- hide]
Just one pet is normally allowed in the accommodation, although two small ones may be allowed by arrangement. All the static caravans and some lodges and bungalows are kept pet free. Please check before you book.
Is there somewhere to walk dogs? [+ show][- hide]
There is plenty of marshland in which to walk dogs leading from the Holiday Village, but please keep them on a lead at all times and clean up any fouling. Special bins are provided on site.
Is there somewhere close by to buy groceries? [+ show][- hide]
A Spar Shop is located in Oulton Broad Village which opens from 7am – 10pm every day. It is a 5 minute walk or there is a car park close by. Asda, Tescos and Morrisons are all a short drive away
Is the site suited to those with Mobility difficulties? [+ show][- hide]
The site is flat and we can provide ramps to allow access into any of the bungalows. Once inside the accommodation guests need to be able to walk a short distance to access the bathroom.
Public Transport [+ show][- hide]
The site is close to Oulton Broad South railway station with trains running between Lowestoft and Ipswich and on to London Liverpool Street. There is also a second station Oulton Broad North with trains running between Lowestoft and Norwich. Local buses run into Lowestoft town centre and buses can be caught to Great Yarmouth.
